Style up that Outfit
These tassel earrings make for a lovely addition to an outfit with their pop of color and flamboyance. Thankfully, they are not terribly tasking to make or modify for various styles; there is much room for self-expression and experimentation. Try incorporating some sequins or fancy beads, for example, to the original design.
Not much material is required to make them either; grab some embroidery thread of your prefered colors, two earring hooks and some jump rings. A comb would aid in separating the thread for that puffed up look, so it would be best to keep one handy. Scissors may probably be helpful to have with you as well.
The primary steps to the process are as follows:
- First, things first, let's set up the tassels for every embroidery color we have. Loop the thread into a circle, with the circles being of varying diameters according to the desired order and length of the tassels and their strands.
- Now, use some of the thread to hold the circle in place and attach jump rings to; the last tassel of each earring would only require a single jump ring.
- Snip open the circles of thread halfway between so that there is an equal length of threads on opposite sides of the attached jump rings.
- Link the jump rings together, with the tassel that had only one jump ring at the bottom, and have the last tassel link with an earring hook.
- Get out there and show off your amazing skills!
